WHAT'S NEW

2005-  In the year 2005 we at Boyd Funeral Directors for the comfort of our families, completely redecorated our funeral home.  New paint, carpet, furniture,  complete remodelling of our main chapel, complete lounge remodeling adding a refrigerator, microwave and lots of counter space. We also updated our second chapel, and added all new painting and pictures to our facility.

2006-  In the year 2006, we at Boyd Funeral Directors found a way to make an unpleasant situation a little easier.  We installed a new casket selection room, which is a lot more open and a lot friendlier.  We added quarter cut caskets to our selection area.  This makes selecting a casket a lot less intimidating, and we have found families spend more time in the selection area, and have a larger selection to choose from.  We at Boyd Funeral Directors also added a new hearse to our fleet.  The new hearses color is burgundy, which is warm and inviting.  Stop by and take a look, you'll be glad you did.

2008- In the year 2008, we at Boyd Funeral Directors added two new suburbans to our fleet.  One will be used for a first call vehicle, and the other for a lead vehicle and pallbearer vehicle.  We have also added a touch screen casket selection system in our selection area, so families can see the full line of caskets we have to offer (about 300).

2009-  In the year 2009, we at Boyd Funeral Directors added a new virtual casket selection system in our arrangement office.  This will assist families in selecting caskets, urns, and vaults in the comfort of our office if they choose not to go into our traditional selection area.  This service is also available on our website for those making pre-need arrangements online, or out of town families.

2010- Coming up for 2010, we will at Boyd Funeral Directors will be webcasting funeral services to anywhere in the world (with families permission).  This way if a loved one can't make it to the funeral service, they can watch the service LIVE if they have a computer, and internet connection.  We will also begin implementing, FUNERAL TEXT, an obituary notification program.
