Robert Keith Barrett

Mr. Robert Keith Barrett, 79, of Salem, KY, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Livingston Hospital and Healthcare Services.

Robert was born December 21, 1944 to James and Elaine (May) Barrett in Lola, KY.  He worked as a brick mason a majority of his life and was a member of Lola Missionary Baptist Church.  He loved fishing, hunting, and watching UK basketball.  But above all, he loved his family and friends.

Robert is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pat Barrett; two daughters, Shelly (Curt) Swinford of Paducah, Tiffeny (Wade) Ramage of Burna; one sister, Pat “Sister” Hall of Salem; one brother, Louie Barrett of Smithland; five grandchildren, Barrett Ramage, Hannah Ramage, Keely Hall, Sydnie Swinford, and Carter Swinford; and four great-grandchildren, Charlee Munday, Bode Ramage, Lydia Hearell, and Henry Hall.

Beside his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, James Alan Barrett and Charlie Barrett.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 2 PM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.  Burial will follow at Carrsville Cemetery.  Chapel doors will open at 1:45 PM on Sunday, to begin seating for the funeral service.  There will be no public visitation before the funeral services.

Concluding the burial services at Carrsville Cemetery, Robert’s family would like to invite everyone for a time of remembrance for Robert at the Carrsville Community Center.
